Carson Fall located at Kinabalu National Park, name after the 1st park warden. Hikers will passby this small fall if they start the journey to Mt. Kinabalu summit from Timpohon Gate.

Kinabalu National Park is situated on the Crocker Range on the western coast of Sabah. It is located within the district of Ranau, within the West Coast Division. The park is not to be confused with Crocker Range National Park which is a separate park in the south.

The park headquarters is 88 kilometers away from the city of Kota Kinabalu. There are highways and sealed roads leading towards the park headquarters from other parts of Sabah. It is situated on the southern boundary of Kinabalu Park, at an elevation of 1,563m (5,128 feet). The weather at the park is quite cold.

There are other falls within the Kinabalu National Park, such as Misumpak Fall and Kikulat Fall.

Standing at the viewing deck in front of the park headquater, you can have a perfect view of Mount Kinabalu if you lucky enough to have a clear sky. Maybe it just a illusion, i felt i am more closer to the cloud when i was standing here.

After the winding road section, we reached the Timpohon Gate tourist point. Sometime it is hard to find a carpark nearby because there is no proper carpark available.

A marvellous timing record created by participants during 2010 climbathon. I wonder how they can finished the climbing withhin 3 hours! It is just impossible to me.

The Timpohon Gate.

Guide and climbing permit are compulsory for you to pass through the gate.

Along the way to Laban Rata, you'll walk pass this small Carson Fall. It has a small signboard to indicate it.

The Carson Fall.
