One of the Crocker Range Park substation is Mahua substation, which situated in Tambunan district.

The drive to Mahua Substation took us an approx 1 and 1/2 hour from Kota Kinabalu. We took the Donggongon - Tambunan road, which brought us pass through scenic uphill drive through small villages and forest on the Crocker Range. Aftert that we reached a roundabout which has a manmade ginger as decoration. Turned left and drove until we saw the roadsign below. We followed the roadsign to the Mahua Substation.

Beware of those buffaloes which will cross the road suddenly.

There is another waterfall stated at the notice board. They called it Krongulad Waterfall now, previously was named as Ulu Kiwal in [Waterfalls of Malaysia] book. The ranger said this new waterfall will be openned soon once the trail is ready.

A good plankwalk is built along the stream. The small conservation fee is worth it at least the park is under well care!
